  • GREAT GIFT FOR THE DINOSAUR LOVER IN YOUR LIFE, I bought this as a second gift to give with a package of dinosaurs. It turned out to be my favorite gift to give. The mat (vinyl) is brightly colored and somewhat padded. The four corners are creased and fold up to form a square box. Then there is a separate lid to pop on the top. There are straps on the sides to keep the lid on. I think for a 3 to 7 year old who likes dinosaurs it is a great gift. They can take the toys with them in the car, to a friends house, outside to play. Having the box and lid, I assume, encourages the child to put their toys in it to carry them around. I only give it 3 stars on durability because it is constructed of cardboard and vinyl.
  • Christmas 2013 for my grandson. He loves them. His mother loves them too. She loves the box they come in. Great to carry from place to place, like on play dates. Nice bold colors, and great mat to play on. Great price at Christmatime!. Thanks Amazon.
  • When I ordered this, I originally thought it would have more than 2 dinosaurs, and that the mat would be more than just a flat picture of some rocky terrain. My son is a very active 3 yr. old, and while his rug with roads on it keeps his attention for extended periods of time, this toy does not. He’s had it for about 2 weeks now and it’s seen more use as a tote for his other toys. I was really disappointed that he doesn’t like it more, but maybe with age. The product itself is nice, though, and seems good quality. It just may not be a good fit for my son, and I think it was overpriced for what you get.
  • This is the sort of toy that satisfies both child and parent. A dinosaur play mat that folds up into a storage chest. There is a fairly strong zipper at each outside corner. When playtime is over, flip the mat over and zip it up to create a box. Dump all the dino figures inside and place the cover on top. A handle at each end allows the box to be easily carried around or placed on a shelf. This appears to be fairly rugged although time will tell. So far, it has survived severao months with a three year old, his two year old sister and their dog.
